The
top students from both Addison Trail High School and Driscoll
Catholic High School were honored at a dinner banquet on 4/2/08 held
at the Medinah Shrine Center. They were recognized for their
academic achievements, extra curricular activities & community
service. All the students who attended were awarded a certificate
of achievement.
At the event
scholarships are awarded to students. The Addison Chamber of
Commerce and Industry and Wal-Mart each awarded a
scholarship. This year, for the first time, the Amerena family
awarded a scholarship in memory of their father who was a past
president of the Addison Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The
College of DuPage awarded a book voucher this year.
Lucas, from Driscoll Catholic, received the Wal-Mart Scholarship to
go towards his college tuition. The Chamber of Commerce
Scholarship was awarded to an Addison Trail senior. Addison
Chamber of Commerce President and Driscoll Catholic alumnus, John
(Chip) Humes was the keynote speaker. A student from each of
the schools addressed the group. Lauren was the speaker for
Driscoll Catholic.
